Intermediario de sueños,

Suspiros y anhelos,

Que me llegan sin cesar

De corazones estacionarios, 

Buscando la Primavera.

Llevo su aroma salino pegado al alma,

A veces me perturba y me desdobla

A través de recuerdos y épocas que todavía

No han pasado bajo mis pies;

Son gajes del oficio de ser su portavoz,

Amante y servidor.

Fui con tus saludos al mar,

Se los entregue en forma de susurros

Y me respondió sereno y calmo

En silabas de espuma, en guiños de sol,

En frases ocultas debajo de sus olas

Y me dijo que te amaba,

Como me ama a mí y a todos,

Y que tu sonrisa es única cuando piensas en él,

Y que su canción eterna te anunciara

Quien viene hacia ti con caricias verdaderas

Y noches estrelladas, y abrazos fragantes

Como flores de eterno color…,

Y él nunca miente, nunca.

Por eso y por mas

Soy su mensajero,

Su amante y caballero,

Guardián de sus secretos

Y seguidor de su eterna canción…,

Por eso y por mas,

Soy el mensajero del mar.

Messenger of the Sea

…And now I’m the Messenger of the sea,

middleman of dreams,

sighs and longings,

that it constantly comes to me

from motionless hearts

Looking for the Spring.

I bring his savoury bouquet attached to my soul,

Sometimes disturbing me and unfolds me

Between memories and times that still

Haven’t passed below my feet;

It’s part of the spokesman’ job,

Lover and vassal.

I went with your greetings to the sea,

I gave them in whispers

And he answered calm and serene,

In foam syllables, in sun’ winks,

In hidden phrases below the waves

(Morse code of love).

And he told me he’s loving you,

Like he loves me and everyone,

And that your smile is unique with you think on him,

And his eternal song will announce

Who is coming to you with sincere petting

And starry nights, and fragranced embraces,

Like eternally coloured flowers…,

And he never lies, never.

And that’s why

I’m his messenger,

Lover and knight,

his secrets’ guardian

And follower of his eternal song…,

And that’s why

I’m the messenger of the sea.
